Quincy is 1 1/2 years old!

Quincy just had his 18 month appointment and the doctor says he is doing great! He grew 2.5 inches in 3 months! He is off the growth charts for his age....37 inches tall. Looks like we have a basketball player, we call him Shaq sometimes.

The weather is Portland is finally getting a little nicer. Quincy went "wading" with his friends in Ruby's wading pool recently. It was a hit, they had a great time. The next day Quincy and Mom started official swim lessons which was very exciting. He loved it! We go every Saturday morning. Since Quincy weighs almost 31 pounds, it is quite a workout for Mom too!

Mealtime continues to be an adventure and extremely messy. He had corn on the for the first time and he loves (!?!) black bean dip....as you can see from the picture.

Must Have Fork!

Well, it has finally happened...Quincy has to feed himself. He has obviously been doing this for a while but this is taking it to the next level, now he has to use a fork or spoon. After two days of temper tantrums (they were doozies!!), Mom finally figured this out. So far he has eaten macaroni, oatmeal and yogurt by himself. Yesterday, it was squash (very messy!) and peas (very funny, him tryng to keep them on the fork!) Here are a few pictures.....

We also had fun with Quincy's friends Kai and Kolbie, they came over to play this week and we all went for a wagon ride to the park....thank goodness for the sunny weather!

Wrestle Mania!

Quincy finally met his friend Luca from Brooklyn. Luca's mom and Quincy's mom have been friends for years and the boys were born only days apart. Luca and his family came over for dinner and it was wild! Wrestle Mania 2008! As you can see from the pictures, they had a great time!

We are also so excited to welcome Quincy's new cousin, Wyatt Dallen McFarlane into the world. Wyatt was born on June 5th. We can't wait to meet him. Here he is just a few minutes old!

Now we are just waiting for Quincy's new niece to join the family in September! That will make Quincy's mom and dad grandparents...crazy!
